Well, I was so relieved there were comments to explain to me that I wasn't crazy for not understanding the majority of this....while still being somewhat mesmerized by the imagery it still brought to my mind, and the melancholy I was left feeling.

It is fantastic...I had to read it several times and then read it aloud and then the penny dropped. I felt devastated at the loss of life on that deserted place and blame humans.

The weird thing is, after the second reading it makes perfect sense
and I can actually see the rocky rookery, the sea, etc... Nice work!

I think Son#1 had a great idea; actually, I'd like to see a bit more of his poetry as well! And what this reminds me of? Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky, of course...

Re: Naut
LOL. I don't know what it reminds you of, but I thought you'd get a kick out of what brought that on. Son #1 love to keep a list of words that he finds in his readings. Then he gives the list to me to see if I know what they mean. Last night he gave me a list containing many of the words in this post. So, I used them to make up this bit of stuff for him. He loved it and wanted me to share it. LOL
