Sweet Little Bro.....
You say it so brilliantly....once more hitting the nail so squarely in the center of my heart. But Dearest....you're talking common sense....and that bus left the station a long time ago....it is the new "short bus" if you listen to the talk show hosts on our popular shows - the Kelly Rippa-Today Show-The Talk-The View-The Ellen Show-Etc., Circuit. I think many of these folks are charming, likable and very intelligent folks...but most are very liberal - read that lacking common sense folks. I live in an area where kids still get to be kids....so, it's still happening.....but, give them time, they'll ruin in everywhere.....

It is amazing all of the legislation that is going on. One of these days, we are all going to be required to wear knight's armor and walk slowly.

No sledding for kids? It's absurd! Even the nanny under whose wings I spent some time as a kid (before turning 'free range', LOL) would have ridiculed this! But the 'Nanny State' is becoming ever more oppressive even at the local level, and common sense is becoming a very uncommon commodity...

Not much snow in Australia but we used to take our kids up into the High Country until we found snow and the family would drag those sleds up the hill and wizz back down until the sun was about to set. Then it was hot drinks from a thermos, off with the wet clothes on the side of the road beside the car and cuddle under blankets....NO of course there were no seat belts...and head for home. I agree completely with this Post.
