Comments on slow weekend

Sometimes we discount that people who have lost most of their love ones are more happy contemplating moving on than staying here. Those who are Christian know there is not really a dying as we think of it, we simply move along to Heaven.

Re: jimmy

you are so right.  we need to keep in mind that young people get sick and die, they have heart attacks, and strokes and accidents, so we need to do the things we love everyday and make sure if there is not a tomorrow we were thankful for and used the time we had.

Re: Ipp

i just watched the movie serpico.  and it was about how we trusted police and thought they were above corruption.  now that more and more of our elders need daily help we have health care workers and we would love to think they are the best of the best. i hate to be a serpico, but after talking with my patients, the good hard workers and the honest ones are very few.   it is so bad that when i need the help i will go to a nursing home, and take only what i will not care if it disappears and can inexpensively be replaced, because it happens in nursing homes too.  but in a nursing home they are less likely to ask you for money and less likely to abuse you, verbally or physically.  its ashamed but if a family member cannot take care of me this is what i will do.

Re: kabu

when we would talk about death and her wish to be with her loved ones, i always said that it is out of our hands , we will die when god wants us to.  i do wonder if our will has anything to do with it.  maybe we die when we give up.

I always get nervous when people mention 'strokes,' because they can come upon anyone at any time, for various reasons! I hope she recovers . . .

I only wish my dad had someone like you.  He was a sweetie.  But he was helpless.  Most of the workers were good to him the few that were not spoiled the whole experience.  We loved him, but sometimes wonder if we kept him living much too long.

A shame just as you were settling down. I hope it turns out in a peaceful way for the dear lady.
