Yes utilities charge on the used time there is no other way to charge. One cannot charge for water or power used without doing after it is used.

Sometimes these are referred to as 'hidden charges.' They actually hope that people don't read between the lines or review the 'fine print.' You can't trust any of these companies nowadays it seems! Remember, if it sounds too good to be true . . .

I'm not much in the know on stuff like that. I'm one of those people that pretty much just pays whatever bills come without checking up on whether they are right or wrong. Bad me.

Well they like to get direct debits and then wham one is taken along for the ride. I thought my water bill was outrageous , they were charging me for water disposal after I had used it on the garden. I kept complaining and eventually they agreed to charge for half the disposal charge it still works out about using using 50 showers a day.

I looked online and apparently, utilities do. I did not know that either.
