As I have said...and now Kabu found the perfect photo....the fiddlers are out in number while the fires burn. I have developed this look I give people who say they don't want to think about, read about, know about politics....I used to be very polite and say something innocuous about how I could certainly understand that...but now I look at them like they can't be serious, but I stay silent unless engaged because they have that right, the right to let it all go to hell and believe there was nothing they could have done, that their one little vote, their one voice didn't count. I just find it irresponsible. It is how we got to this point. I find it so sad that so many people fought so hard for the right to have a say, to determine the society they would live in....and by choosing not to stay engaged, not to participate, choosing to turn our backs and leave it up to others so few have determined the course for so many....and I've been just as guilty many, many times....no more. It's not over 'til the fat lady sings and I'm constantly reminding my daughter and granddaughters of our values and I am not giving up. Besides that, I'm pissed!

And in Canada...
I am a bit cross with our opposition party re this new Bill. Sounds like by the time they want to be finished with committees re That Bill, we will all be in some other land. Are they for real??

In my second novel - "Welcome To America - Society In Decline," I used a similar reference to such ways of thinking, but I called it the 'idiocy virus.' And yes . . . it is spreading!
