Some people have to make do without a significant other even if they need one. Some have wonderful memories of the good times with theirs. Others have never had one and don't really know what they are missing.

no, you dont need a significant other, the few times i was threatened there were always someone around to help me. if i saw a person alone that needed help i would and more quickly than if i saw someone was with them.
