Congratulations! I have three grandcandies and they are a joy....your daughter's idea of a daycare is great, that's what my daughter did until her youngest went to school. I don't know how her nerves stood it as she always had kids all over the place but she loved it and I can certainly see how the girls benefited from having her with them. I'm sure you've probably found already that a grandchild gives you a real stake in the future like you didn't have before.

Well, that's good for you, but I must admit, I'm somewhat jealous. My wife and I didn't meet until we were both in our early forties, and unfortunately, never had children ( although it wasn't from a lack of trying ). So, I will never know the feelings of being a father ( or grandfather ) either. But, it is what it is, and my wife and I are still happy together. Good luck with your continued progress 'child-proofing' your home . . .

I would sue as well...if she was performing normally they had no right to force her to take leave early...however if her work was impeded or her safety and that of her baby was in question then I would understand.

He is a beautiful baby and you have every right to be a proud Grandmother. I think your daughter is probably in the right place now...being full time Mommy...things do have a way of working out. The little day care is a great idea. My sister did that in her home for years. No more than 5 little ones a day.
