It seems the cold weather is dictating how many of us conduct our daily business. No, don't go outside unless you absolutely have to. Between the frigid temperatures and icy conditions, you may just be asking for trouble! Keep the soup warm . . .

I am determined to not call on my sons unless I absolutely have to. I love being independent or just doing without. I did finally get out, warmed up my car, took it for a spin (over 14 miles), ended up at a grocery store that i haven't been to for years and years. Loved going there again. Now I'm home and in for the rest of the day, I think.

I too understand - I too would rather stay inside on days like these! But I am fortunate, in a way, that I don't have to make that decision - it's been made impossible for me by my Ben! So I make the best of what I must do, get out there, have him do his thing, and in the process do myself some good as well...

It does shrink our world, this yucky cold. On the other hand, Spring Training starts this week in Florida - for the Cardinals at least - and this is a sign of spring for me. ☺
