She was indeed, Vermont! She was indeed! And at 83, she's still hot . . .

That's true, Kabu. Hopefully, it wouldn't take years . . .

in the mean time...research is fun...one can spend years researching for a book.

Re:

Unfortunately, luster, that's all too true. However, I recently saw a picture of Barbara Eden ( of I Dream Of Jeannie fame, of course ) and at 83 years of age, she still looks fantastic! I hope we all look half that good when we reach 83 . . .

Re:

We did indeed, Annicita, we did indeed. And those shows were far superior to anything being produced today. They were funnier, and more 'down-to-earth.' I'm so glad there are channels like MeTV and Antenna TV that are still showing them . . .

Re: JimmyA

Thanks, Sir Wiley. It is a lot of work, but like I said, I've come across some amazing things! And oh yes, it's keeping me very, very busy . . .

Re:

Well, Kabu, I don't know about a signed copy, but I think I would be lucky to end up with a book at all! Like I wrote, I've uncovered some really, really interesting stuff, most of which people might be amazed to learn. We'll see what happens when the smoke clears . . .

Re: Jimmy

A vacation, Naut? What's that? But yeah, it is a bit fun, although, like I said, it's extremely time-consuming as well. I don't know at which point I'll eventually stop, or what I'll end up with, but as long as an interest remains for these shows, this information will still be viable . . .

Re:

I believe, C C T, you're referring to The Beverley Hillbillies. Yes, I'm sure I'll be researching that show as well some time soon. And although I was never a huge Bonanza fan, I do recall watching it when it first ran, many, many moons ago. By the way, pies were not the fate for those horses. They all eventually escaped . . .

Re:

Like you wouldn't believe, FSI! But like I said, I have run across some extremely interesting trivia and factoids about the people on these shows. But the most amazing thing is how old these people were at the time. For example, did you know that, on Gilligan's Island, Jim Bacchus, who played Mr. Howell, was 51, and Natalie Schaffer, who played his wife "Lovey,' was actually 64! See? You didn't know that, did you?

You know how to keep yourself busy and happy, good for you, I envy your ability to do that.

A book would be very interesting to read. If you took all the most interesting stories and behind the scenes fun and a little about each of the actors i t would make a marvellous book. we are all different and we spend our retirement keeping busy with things that life never gave us time to do. ...until now. Keep researching and write that book. I'll have a signed copy by the way!!

Jimmy

Sounds like fun! And maybe you'll find time to write a book when you take a vacation...

Well I used to watch Bonanza but I guess the horses have been made into pies by now,

What about the cast in that series of hillbillies striking oil and moving into the city?

That is really neat how much you are into finding out information about favorite shows of yours. Whenever I come across a new show or movie, I end up researching the cast's ages.

Oh, yes, I do imagine that keeps you extremely busy.
