I suppose you still have little deadlines such as time to hit the hay. Time to have a little rest after lunch. Go to the computer and log on. They are just different take your pills.

Dealines
They could be good, have had a lot in my life as well. Competition! I loved it. But now in order to keep hope alive, I plan things in the future that are fun. Even small things will do. Sitting by the river with a friend, discussing things we will probably never do, or Idea's that we believe at the time could change the world, or great things like dinner and movie night with my son and his girlfriend, (Now Fiancée). Plans are less stressful than deadlines.

Deadlines--hate em. But I'd be homeless without em.

I do know what you mean and I refuse to let myself to wish to be back in the excitement of all that life. A week or two with my son and his family cures any wishful thinking anyway. LOL...I enjoy every day as it comes and if we get something done that is a bonus.

My sister has a paper in college due Thursday that has her wondering about where the deadline went...I am pretty good right now at meeting deadlines. I will if that will change at some point.

TAPS
Isn't it wonderful? I've got the occasional one imposed on me, but there are also self-imposed ones, unfortunately, that sometimes wither on the vine, however...

There's a saying in the newspaper trade: if it weren't for deadlines
nothing would ever get done. These days I consider getting to The Center for my shift at the front desk by 9:00 a.m. is a deadline. Wonder why the best ideas for stories come just when I have to head out the door?

I don't blame you at all. I've had my share of 'deadlines' to deal with over the years, but the only ones I really have to face now are the ones I make for myself ( trying to get certain projects done by a certain time ). However, I don't miss those headaches at all! I guess sometimes we all need that carrot in front of us and that stick behind us . . .
