A real good story, Naut. I know if a dog walked into my yard and shook my hand, I would have a Hell of a job to take it to the dogs home.

Wonderful story!  I prefer to believe the poor doggie wandered from an apartment complex along I-35 or, possibly, jumped from the back of a truck since some idiots insist on putting them back there - I just won't picture someone dumping it on that highway!  Anyway, all's well that ends well

Yes, a feel-good story indeed! However, it could actually be a sad ending if the dog's owner does show up and that officer has to give her up. That's why my wife could never 'foster.' She'd want to keep them all . . .

naut

loved this story, happy ending.  my granddaughter just adopted a baby kitten found on a highway overpass.  if owners are found they should forfeit ownership and be fined for what happened.

Great story...I am thinking that poor doggie was pushed out of a vehicle by uncaring ....I don't have a word for people like that. May the love affair be long and happy.

What a good story. It hurts my heart to think of any dog loose on a freeway. I am so thankful they found one another. This will be a true love story.

I am so glad that the dog will find a supporting home.

Don't tell me this love affair began on Valentine's day!

Even if it did, don't tell me. I prefer to keep my jaded opinion, in spite of my big fat smile about this particular happy ending. Loving this one!

Thank you, Naut! This was my feel-good wake-up story this Sunday morning! What a great way to start the day!
