I think your instincts are good on this one, Jeansaw. I believe you'll be fine with Lucy, doing your own thing. You need that time, and moving in with a sibling could complicate matters.

I watch Judge Judy on tv now and then and notice that there are so many problems that arise over shared rent not working out.  It always amazes me that family members would take each other to court.

No I think once you  knock your life back into shape ,you will begin to enjoy your freedom. There are  always somethings about siblins that touch a nerve even if one

still loves them.People always suss out the easiest solution, but life does not pan out like that.

y' know what darlin' I believe you have hit the nail on the head re your Sister. My big Sis severl times has tried to get me to invest in real estate, once to help her buy a bigger house to live in and the second time to buy an apartment in a city near her where she enjoys going, but not enjoys having to stay in a motel. She wanted me to put money into buying an apartment...well I need my investment to live on, not buy her an apartment for when she may want to stay there.

And moving in with someone, anyone, you lose your independence, your life style...so much.

Jean

I see Lucy has excellent manners, LOL. Bennie has too, in most respects, but we can't let food of any kind sitting within reach - he's an inveterate 'counter surfer'! He won't do it if we're around, but if it's there and we leave the kitchen he'll try and get at it. But we've learned our lessons...

Good plan! Never leave your dog in the car for any length of time, especially when the weather is extreme, either very hot or very cold! And how the heck did you keep Lucy from going nuts sitting there with a bucket of chicken? The aroma must have been driving her crazy . . .
