Jimmy
You are a good guy Jimmy, sadly not many think of their wives after they have been married a few years.

Re: FS
I know I have been eating whole grained mixture of seeds and oats for breakfast and then not feeling hungry at lunch time.

Well Jean I don't mind nibbling straight off of the plant. I just remembered as a boy pulling grass stalks and chewing the end it was sweet mostly , but one species had sooty pollen and was avoided. sweets were rationed.

No you can't eat them but everyone wants them if they are cheap Jimmy. I expect you will be looking out for some for Valentines day.

Re:
I hope you use plenty of sugar Taps . Folk seem to be going more for rhubarb these days perhaps it is the over-abundance of sweet things

Re: Wiley
I think one can freeze mostly anything but a lot of vegetables are not really worth doing.
Peas are one one the best , but one can get them in any store. Don't start gardening now Bro you will do your back in.

Re:
It sounds cold Kabu, Your little car is a real go-er . Brr' it makes me shiver to think
of all that snow. My poor tunnels would be quivering under the weight I usually take the tops off in winter but I took a chance this year and the sweet peas are alright so far.

I never heard of freezing fruit but I guess I'm not into fruits and gardening much, I just buy our stuff. You are amazing Bro and a pleasure to read of your exploits in the garden.

A raspberry and apple dish sounds delightful! Especially if you add a bit of Calvados, but only after it's come off the stove! You don't want to let too much of it get cooked away! And I'm still looking for my fortune...

The raspberry and apple combo sounds good to me. Today I took some sour cherries and some rhubarb out of the freezer and cooked them together. They really hit the spot. Yummy.

I suppose, for you, when it comes to deciding what to actually plant and grow, it's either flowers or vegetables. Aah, but therein lies the rub! We have to remember: you can't eat flowers!

I have a tendency to get tired of some foods after them within a certain time frame...I have known of a few people, places and things who and that were hard to find.

i haven't put much out for a couple of days. Either it is snowing or 30 below and if I have to go out it is a dash to the garage to get in and start warming the car.
