How many people like you this world needs? I am sure a lot. You are such a nice and respectful lady as this is felt in your writings. But man is a man and they don't change. Once I wrote this quote. God made this world perfected but man got it rejected." I always enjoy reading you

I know what you mean Taps. There is a kind of madness in every one a primitive desire to capture if not even for long someone who just happens to evoke a kind of sensuous
emotion, once one comes back down to earth one usually feels lucky that an approach
was never made or was rebuffed. Of course as one becomes older one , never mind you
you know what I mean.

Well, how late I am to this party! What an ass your ex was for doing that, but what a great story! Of course, you didn't tell it to vent (nor for it to be a great story....I'm weird like that)....it was HOW many years ago! I feel a post coming on about reviewing the past so I'll control myself.... I think comments are so interesting, too, and do "flesh out" the people here more as you visit around and read different discussions and reactions.
And I like your idea of reviewing different times in your life...please DO continue.

I read the former post, but didn't have time to comment on it at the time of reading, so I will now. Getting hurt stinks. And we can't force someone to love us, or to do what WE want them to do, and we can't kill them if they don't. That stinks too. And we can only say never when we have been through so much that 'never' is just another word. There - that's my two cents worth.

I enjoyed your post immensely, I've done too many things I said I would never do I think, my Catholic guilt can't be avoided.
The other reason I'm here is to thank you for this.
"Muslims, nor anyone else has the power to condemn me to hell...."Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39 KJV) Only I can do that to myself by refusing to believe in Him."
Thank you so much for this, as a Catholic child you know, we weren't allowed to read the Bible and here you've given me a wonderful gift to cherish. I love you in that special way a Bro loves his kid Sis

I have learned a lot about my Blogit peers from the comments that they have posted. I imagine the same applies to the comments that I have left, too...I like reading the comment sections to blogs, articles and YouTube videos. They enhance the reading of the posted material.

There's a new commercial out - I think by State Farm - that is
in line with the "nevers" of your post & the comments. never getting married, never having kids, etc., I remember watching how my sis dealt with her kids - who backtalked her, and being 15 and supremely confident that I knew it all I told her I was never going to let my kids talk to me that way. Such declarations always come back to mock you...

Well I don't have much to say to this you seem to have it all sewn up tight. Only when you reach my age can you be certain of a long of nevers. I love your posts....

Well, I usually do my best to 'write from the heart,' and I suppose that applies to the comments as well. Yes, we humans are sometimes a strange lot, as versatile as a box of crayons. And you're right . . . sometimes we do learn a lot about each other just from our various comments to different topics and situations. All I did was state a fact. The relationship between my wife and me is as solid as they come! Honesty is honesty . . .

Nice post and actually I had to smile for I was so perfect when I was young...full of "I would never do this or that" and I know that I have done almost all those things at some time in my life.

Re: Naut
Personally, I think you do a great job. I think that's what the emoticons are for, or at least that's how I use the often--when I can't think of anything to say but want the person to know I've read them.

Yes, comments are often 'off the cuff' as it were, mine as much as anybody else's. But I often have a problem finding the right words when confronted with people's obviously real pain - either nothing one can say seems enough, or it sounds hackneyed.
The problem is sometimes exacerbated when you find yourself on an 'emotional roller coaster' - reading a funny post that makes you chuckle one moment, and one that makes you want to cry the next!
I simply haven't got the emotional dexterity to handle that easily...
