Re:

Sometimes I don't either, adnohr. Like I wrote someone else, the late George Carlin was my mentor, and sometimes I see, hear or read something that triggers my 'inner Carlin,' and since I always have a notebook with me to jot these thoughts down as they come, everyone here gets to benefit from my warped sense of humor . . .

You're quite welcome, TAPS. I hope they put a smile on your face . . .

Re: JimmyA

They certainly may have, Sir Wiley, and as long as the lake's level doesn't get too high ( or low, for that matter ) fishermen will probably be goofing on each other in this manner for a long time! I for one don't think I would have been fooled in this way, but then again, I'm not a rabbi ( whatever that means ) . . .

Re:

Thanks, Annicita. Is it worthy of your collection? Of course, you may retell it at your convenience. I'm sure everyone will enjoy it . . .

Re:

Amazing, Kabu! To be perfectly honest, before I wrote that 'pun', I had actually never heard that particular rhyme before! And I suppose only a child can have fun while at the same time getting dizzy! Unfortunately, my vertigo wouldn't allow it . . .

Re:

Glad you liked it, FSI. Yeah, you'll be retelling that one tomorrow . . .

Re: Jimmy

Uh, oh, Naut. Have I triggered yet another thought-provoking post for you? Hey, if you have something new to offer on this snowflake conspiracy, be my guest! And I believe it's only the 'seas' that part for rabbis, not necessarily lakes . . .

Re:

And as we all know, Krisles, "they" talk a lot! "They" don't always know everything, but "they" still do a lot of talking, just the same! I believe I've seen several snowflakes in my lifetime that were alike! See? I've disproved the theory already . . .

Re:

Thanks, C C T. I suppose that rabbi could have asked for one of the other fellows to fetch that whiskey for him, but he had to "test the waters" for himself! And that 'old duke' could have had the gout! But that probably didn't make much of a difference to those poor marching soldiers . . .

Re:

Help yourself, Gheeghee. And it's a fairly easy one to remember and relay. I hope your audience enjoys it too . . .

Yes, I love all the rabbi-priest-minister jokes....and can never remember the punchlines so I get to enjoy them over and over!!  And I'm with you on the snowflakes....and pretty much most of those things"they" say....just exactly how do "they" know??

A good collection this week Jimmy. I expect the old duke had the gout it would have been an honor to march up and down, but I would have taken a rain-check. How about a sticker'This is me' I think you are right about the snow flakes bit of as job to prove that theory. I think if I had been in the boat I would have asked one of them to fetch me a whiskey.Good one .
