Re: Re: Kabu
enjoy your animal babies for as long as they are here. For me that is the hardest. They don't live long enough...yet our heart can find room for another.

Believe me, both my wife and I know exactly how you feel! We have 'several' cats ( my wife has sworn me to secrecy as to exactly how many ) but as always, there's that 'one' that is the special one. Ours is a female tuxedo kitty we've dubbed Riki, and she couldn't be more loving and affectionate. Sometimes she too seems to want to crawl inside of us when we hold her, and she sleeps snuggled between us each night. Enjoy that love she gives . . .

Reading this reminds me how wonderful cats are. If I had more time to be around my house, I would have a cat or two.

Re: Kabu
You hit it so squarely....I took Bliss and Charm from a feral litter in the backyard, before they were fully weaned; long story. She is my baby, always climbing up on me to be held and the love is intense. I hope I am give as long as you had with your dear friend. Charm sounds more like your Mr. Graysome.

Of course that connection is love...she loves you ...two souls meeting that belong together and acknowleging the connection. My last cat who lived almost 20 years with me...we had that too and she lived for me and remained my baby all her life. She never wanted to grow up. Mr Graysome now is very much his own cat-person and is so different. He loves and will protect us fiercly rather like a dog but he cuddles on his terms only. Still that firce protective love is nice too.
