As is God... Both used to excuse bad behavior, bad experiences... But it's all stuck in the notion that things are simply good or bad. Nothing is that simple. Simplistic, but not simple.

Yes I agree. We always tend to analyze in the wrong way. Satan is always used as a justification when others don't understand.

I think free choice is the essence of being human... It makes us responsible, where others can't be responsible for where instinct pushes them. It lets us be responsible, to hold power over our own lives, until we get all garbled up with those pesky bad choices and entrapping consequenses.

I am not one who is big on the Devil and Hell, I think that we can experieince Hell here on earth....for me to be without my spiritual belief I would be wandering lost.
I do think that free choice is part of being human.
