Re: Justi
It you read all of my post, you noticed that I only spoke for myself not wanting a gun. I did not say that you shouldn't have one, or that my great niece shouldn't have one. You go ahead and shoot who you want to. As far as I am concerned, there is power in the Name of Jesus and I'm ready to go if that's what some murderer wants.

There is no such thing as no guns as was proved in France recently. This is proved daily in Chicago the murder capital of our country.Guns are illegal in both instances; however, there is never a loss of guns for the evil, murderers and such as Isis. If one is seeing no guns from a religious standpoint. Look at the Old Testament which is our teaching platform and see that God sent in armies against the evil... In one case he said not to even let an animal or child live. Some broke that command and he did away with them.

I don't believe in having a weapon on hand...it makes it easier to do something in the heat of the moment.....

I don't blame you. That's a tough call. Everyone likes to feel protected, but my wife and I wouldn't want a gun in our house either! It's probably just an accident waiting to happen . . .

I would love to call myself a Pacifist but I can't because I know that to protect those that I love I would fight back. Surely that is fair...to not to start something but to protect those that cannot help themselves....I am like you though. I could never carry a gun. I'll put my trust in my God and so far it has always been the right choice.

In correlation to your subject, the crime rate in the U.S. is embarrassing when
compared to other developed countries.

There used to be some objection to violence in movies, a movement
by parents to keep toy guns away from little kids. Our news these days is full of gun violence, unsolved murders that seem random, innocents caught in crossfire with our cheerios every morning.

I expect in time we shall all have a friendly robot to protect us. It will be a bit crowded on the sidewalk.

I have just read several of your last post and
I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like your sister had a nice transition with family at bedside. Pre-plannning a funeral is the only way to go. It takes away such a terrible decision making time from the family. In this part of the country guns are very commonn part of the household. When I was doing geriatric home education, do you own a gun was one of the questions asked. I finally just started marking yes without questioning to avoid causing paranoia of me asking the question. I just asked if they kept their firearms secured for safety. The answer was always yes even if it was propped beside the front door.
