Shame and remorse are, pretty much, something that has disappeared from the face of the earth. When was the last time you saw anyone you could describe with having pangs of remorse, or shame? When was the last time that you felt either of those yourself? The world is now full of pride and violently expressing one's rights. If you don't believe me, just watch Jerry Springer's tv show. LOL

And now those escaping worms are all over the place . . .
Good parallel-post to my original post. And believe me, I wasn't trying to awaken a sleeping giant or provoke anyone or anything. But after seeing and knowing what's been happening around the world lately, having my own thoughts and feelings, and then coming across that particular letter, I felt somewhat compelled to put some of those thoughts out there. Personally, I think Mr. Ahmed's writing is sincere, but for some reason, I don't trust his motive for actually writing it. I'm still leaning toward the rhetoric of "Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslim," and feel that continuing to 'watch my back' to protect myself and those I love is far more important than being liberal, democratic or politically-correct! I'm finding it harder and harder to trust anyone anymore. I'm sorry but that's just the way I feel . . .
