I never thought of it when I was young and preparing for life, but how interesting it would be to be an Atty.  I think I would have made a good one.

Pat

Well, all I can say - best of luck to Robin and her case, and of course best wishes for everything involving their new house as well!

Re: JimmyA

The red tape and bureaucracy involved in FEMA and disaster relief funds is made even more complicated by the locals (officials and temp agents) who earn money for administering the funds to disaster victims. Prolonging the process keeps them employed and for some the opportunity to skim from applicants. Vultures live by the death of others...  I believe a newly minted lawyer with strong ethics would be overwhelmed in this scenario.

That sounds like a very difficult situation to deal with, for everyone. My wife and I see these stories on the news all the time about those foreclosures, and we are so thankful our house is all paid for. However, here in New Jersey, people are also dealing with certain 'housing' problems, but not necessarily because of foreclosures. Hundreds had lost their homes to Hurricane Sandy ( that were either completely destroyed, or very severely damaged ). And although it's been over two years now, and our state has received certain government grants to rebuild, many have still not seen dime one! The red tape is unbelievably thick up here! How do you think your daughter would handle representations like that?
