Re: Re: Excellent stuff, Pat!

I've just read and commented, or qeried on your next post, and it occurs to me to ask, also, will everyone sign their copy of these rules/guidelines/understandings to show their commitment to it?  The very act, I think, would be like a contract not only with the group but with themselves. Not a legal thing, but a stronger commitment.

I have been accused of being opinionated and try not to be too much like that ...I try...i would be interested to read what you have to write for us. always to learn.

Excellent points and info, but I would instantly disagree with that person concerning "professional standards." Yes, there are certain do's and don't's concerning writing, but everyone is different, and their writing 'style' is going to be like someone's opinion . . . varied, unique, and not necessarily wrong. You can either like and accept someone else's style, or not. Things don't have to be so rigid . . .

Yes post it Pat, I suppose we can all learn. I would not like to be the one reading ones own story, but I expect you hand out tranquilizers .

Re: Excellent stuff, Pat!

Ciel, the Pat Schneider book has a section on how to invite someone to leave the group if they can't live with the basic premise. Truth is, when one is so out of sync the experience isn't useful for them, either. Love the way you describe your self-discovery - been there, done that. ☺

Excellent stuff, Pat!

Though, the wannabe Editor In Charge may be too benighted to get that her mouth is causing more havoc and destroying the safety of the group, unless she is told pretty directly.  Privately, but directly.

I have been that person more than once... so needful to show my cleverness and educatedness, I was totally unaware or unappreciative of others' needs, not to mention where they were better at the whole thing than I was.
