Re: TAPS,
Maybe he liked to keep one warm while the other was cold on the ice...? some little things disappear in the cold... I am thinking of my sister's college room mate who in later years gave birth to a son, and when she got him home on a cold winter's day, and went to change him, she panicked, thinking the hospital had sent her home with a girl!
I wonder how big a circle...?

Re: Naut,
There was no final shot of the man breaking through the ice... There is Karma, and then there is Fate, and also the Lady Who Is Not To Be Named...

Re: CCT,
Goose, being warmer than ice, was possibly simply holding his spot, knowing it would ice over if he left. I suspect he was pretty annoyed at the human bother.

That's funny. One winter there was a goose here standing around with the others on the ice but, it was standing on one leg. The other one was gone. I wondered if it had left it trapped in the ice somewhere. I also wondered how it could swim with only one leg. Wouldn't it just go around in little circles?

It must have been sitting moving the water to stop it freezing, perhaps not a silly goose.
