Not even much snow here for them to nibble. I do feel sorry for those
fur critters in this subfreeze. I noticed the local squirrels are busy, their coats fluffed up to keep them warmer.

Funny you say that. Many years ago two of my Jelinek uncles went hunting, and in climbing over a fence, one accidentally shot the other and came carrying him home instead of meat to eat.

I think it would probably eat snow with the grass Taps . If it was young it might all be a mystery to it. I don't think it would have lasted long in the old days.
