I wish I could, with the decorating, find the delight and wonder I had in childhood, gazing into the lights, the depths of the tree... Or creating that for my kids. Now, Charlie takes a hand in it, and we attempt to create the wonder for each other. But it is not so much wonder now, as simply appreciation of the loveliness. And nostalgia.

I almost didn't do Christmas decorating at all in 2014. Last minute
I decided my grinchiness was ridiculous, found the box, hung the tinsel, set the tree on its little table in the corner, and when my grandson came over - on leave from the Air Force - we had a cup of "Death Wish" coffee and biscotti in a proper environment.

When Graysome wants to annoy me or get my attention, he uses a cute paw to move something of mine over the edge onto the floor and watches as it falls...I of course pretend horror and shock!

I still have to put our bits and pieces away. Wiley bought some new things this year because we had donated many things...They were waiting here when I got home...so sweet. But, time most went under the stairs to live until next year.
