Durian ...that is the one...stinks so bad I never tried it...and evidently you either love it or hate it.

Sounds interesting, but somewhat complicated. I think I would have trouble eating something whose name was difficult to pronounce . . .

I've never had one of those things! I always thought of them as overgrown grapefruit - and why bother? But now I shall try one, using your methods...:)

Re: Re: Re: Kabu
They say that durian smells like a civet, but I've never tried that.

Re: Annicita
They have a slight grapefruit taste and smell, but sweet and without any of the grapefruit bitterness and they are not as squirty/juicy and with a bit more body.

I've just been out to an early brunch with Son #3 & Phil and I'm going to finally enjoy the video that you sent me by email.

Re: Kabu
No bad smell at all. Kind of a mild grapefruit smell.

Re: Justi
Mild, sweet, grapefruit taste without any bitterness and not much sour, and more body to it. It is really neat once you get all of the skin off of each section.

I am so impressed. I have never heard of one of the names of this fruit. It looks and sounds so intriguing. I want to try it now. We have very small produce departments compared to your Kansas City stores I am sure but I think someone will have it. You say it is citrus, can you tell us what the flavor leans toward?

Looks like you'd have to start this one before you're even hungry.
