Seems to me that when we are in our teens friends are everything and family is an embarrassment unless we have troubles...later in Life I agree friends drift away and family and one ot two special friends are what we need most. Enjoyed your thinking in this post.

One does become more setimental as one becomes older, I think of things I did as a boy and I guess I am horrified.

Reconnecting is good for all concerned.  I always say, why didn't I do this sooner?

Thank you so much, Pat B.  I find that journaling and writing in general are very therapeutic.  And reading about others' lives and enjoying tbeir writings also.
