Go to Life in the fast lane--where's the on ramp?

- Go to Downton Abbey, Doc Martin
that is a silly expensive exercise I am thinking. I never had much interest in playing ladies. I leave all that to my Sis...But I must confess that Downtown Abbey is one of my weaknesses. I enjoy the period of a century ago when my parents were young and the acting is good, and it is about change coming. The ending of the ruling class really.

Loved this post. I like the way that you so very well compared the two programs.

I'm not all that familiar with those particular shows, but I can understand your angst about watching them, especially when, as you've written, they 'compare' the classes. And for some reason, whenever anyone mentions a 'tea party,' my mind immediately goes to 18th century colonial America and Boston Harbor! Hopefully these ladies will behave themselves, and not throw that tea around . . .

To much for a few cakes and illusions Pat. Last year a tourist in a village asked my brother, where she could meet the Downton Abbey family. Are they real? I mean the tourists. Doc Martin was good, of course he was played well and most of the actors were
nearly true to life.
