Maybe dear John will be better without the partner if he was making life more difficult...Florida and a sis and sis-in-law could be just what he needs. I am so happy to be back here, I cannot find the words to write.

Yeah, I know what that's like. But, that's why they call it venting. You can't keep too many things bottled up inside. It does more internal damage than people realize, mentally, physically, spiritually, etc. Sounds like he's doing better after that call . . .

Pat

I'm so glad your Son is feeling better! He really got hit by a double whammy - the break-up and then the SAD-inducing conditions! It's enough to drive everyone into a depression! But moving into warmth and sunshine would help a lot, I'm sure! And of course his profession helps - being a computer geek, the world is his oyster...

Such a shame that intelligent people can't shake of depression .

Treatment has advanced if one has a decent doctor,

I was suffering from O.C.D a few years ago after many years of caring .

The doctor was a bit miffy when I asked for some pills that other folk

had recommended, but she gave them to me and they did not work. So she prescribed some she thought would suit. Arthur researched them and said they replaced a chemical in the brain. I felt a difference almost at once and just take a very low dose. Sadly I think I was just lucky.
