Yeah, I usually don't care for those cards covered in glitter either. It gets all over the place! And you're right . . . God has more important things to worry about than mirrors. I'm glad you didn't choke . . .

Re: My Auntie Mae loved all things glittery, especially rhinestones on
I did look it up on Google Pat
glitter is made from many different things. So one needs to get the edible variety to be on the safe side. Goodness mercury, well we used to play with that in little game boxes trying to get it to roll into marked places to score points.

My Auntie Mae loved all things glittery, especially rhinestones on
jackets worn by entertainers (think Liberace) or fancy western jackets with fringes. She
liked "diamond" earrings, bracelets, etc. Sometimes when I see sparkly things the kids paint on their jeans, I'm reminded of her. I believe there used to be some mercury in the mirror backing, although I've no idea how they stabilized it. No wonder you felt choked...

I am sure they will notice the difference. I am sure, however, that they will be accepting of the gift. I feel like recycling gifts is fine to do...I remember going to a Kesha concert. She had glitter come from the ceiling. for the next few weeks, I was finding glitter in my house and car.
