I wish I could write like you.....your descriptions are so clear, concise and vivid....I always ramble. Of course, I write like I talk and I ramble when I talk! Anyway, I can tell you are a newspaper gal and I certainly enjoyed the visit to the bookstore. Reading you always makes me nostalgic for St. Louis, anyway; I traveled there at least monthly for several years....and now it's been several years since I've been there so I get to visit through your eyes.

A day in the life of a simple library. Sounds cozy. And I'll bet the aromas in that place are amazing . . .

Sounds OK. Pat. funny how old miseries try to attach themselves to a previous victim.
Perhaps others try to give them the slip. I wish I could come in and eat a Steak and Kidney pudding.

I always enjoy your vignettes from the library! But they let people eat pizza there? I'm afraid to even chew gum in our library, which is also quite nice, actually...
