Thay know you are honest FS. Wait until you sell your plots of land, but if it is your garden you might get away with it with luck.

Pat

If one is lucky one does not fill in a tax form, but I have to wheel and deal to make a shilling so they want to know the cag of a mag. I'll continue the story for a while.

Re: CCT

I am beginning to come round to your way of thinking Naut. I don't think it was a far back at that Naut, not here any way.

Re:Ciel

Yes to add irony to the story the taxing authorities usually make one wait two months before saying we can't accept this and then after sending all the forms back for the third time say we will charge you a £100 pounds if we don't receive your forms by the end of November. It is so stupid they could just change the figures when a mistake is obvious.

Suppose we have to support those who like to lie in bed on frosty mornings and sunny ones.

I've heard that Inland Revenue is a bugger to deal with.

And bear in mind, they are professionals: it might be a good idea to get a professional on your side.

Great little story! You've given us the sounds and smells as well as the actions going on, and that makes it so real!

I have my accountant to income tax stuff - I can't even look at it! And that story takes me right back into the 18th century, LOL...

I, too, put off taking up the tax reporting. Don't mind the money they take

from my pension checks, just don't like the bureaucratic games on the paperwork. Thank you for the story of the couple at supper. So well done I can see the room, feel the times in which they move and breathe... Wow!

I have been very fortunate with my taxes. Nothing exciting happening there, thankfully...You have a way with imagery there.

Yeah, you can never take the paperwork involved with the tax man too lightly. It almost always ends up biting you in the bum later . . .
