I love the stries about you and Ben. I have a real relationship with a cat as does George. They are not as easy as a dog. It has been a really long time since I had a dog. I kinda claim Ben mine too because I look forward to stries abut him and they make me happy. Be blessed in our Thanksgiving.

Be glad you only have the nose ....not a a bully head butt...that's what one of my cats uses to command me...she rams and butts me...usually in a tender spot...well, usually right up under my breast...it's unnerving!!! And she talks to me....fusses and harrangues if I don't hop to fast enough....it's gotten worse as she's aged.....of course, I understand

I really like your doggie posts. It has been so long since I have had the companionship of a dog, and this blog helps me remember what it was like.

If you have read Clan of the Cavebear you will remember how the Clan communicated very well without words, much the same as an animal will do; stance, movement, facial expressions. No problem letting us know what they want and when...and so endearing about it. Give that Ben a long scratch from me.

Absolutely the animals are communicating with us! I could tell you all sorts of odd and unique ways our cats tell us one thing or another! It's all good and, as you've said, once you've had pets for any length of time, you get to understand what they're trying to tell you! And seeing how some of these dogs and cats can be obstinate sometimes, I suppose a 'nose stub' is better than a 'nose snub' . . .

The nose stub reminds me of when little kids try to get adults' attention...I had not thought about how switching times.

Yes I expect Ben has learned the way to walk the walk with you Naut. Of course as you are the pack leader he does not go over the top. I can understand when you are chatting that he might feel a bit left out and has to let you know that he is still there. I suppose once something works he can then use it improve his tactic.
