Actually, I have a magnet on my cubicle wall at work that says something about my being the kind of gal who suddenly starts laughing about nothing at all.....somehow, it doesn't sound quite so strange on the magnet!

I have used a cuss-word twice in front of my mother, both times entirely accidentally. And both times she laughed as I looked horrified and rushed to apologize. She knows I curse. I manage a group of rowdy construction workers - it's bound to happen...but I don't think she needs to hear it!

Oh how I agree with that or I wouldn't want to be here, "It's the craziness that keeps us sane."

I know what you mean about those things that can break the tension.

Well, this was quite a post.  It makes me think of all the times I have burst into laughter when there seemed nothing to laugh about a second or so before.

Love this post and you're right on the mark! It's the crazy zany stuff that keeps us sane.

Like just almost everyone else, my wife and I have been following this story as closely as possible. Needless to say, the situation has gotten beyond tense, and understandably so. But what I don't understand is why everyone is simply ignoring the fact that Brown was involved in a 'strong-armed robbery' prior to that confrontation with that police officer. I'm not saying he deserved to die! But he wasn't the 'sweet and innocent little boy' that many are making him out to be! And seeing how much support that officer has, let me ask you this: if that officer is indicted, is brought to trial, is found guilty, and is given any kind of substantial jail time, do you think the white citizens of that town will loot, pillage and riot . . . ?

I did read it on the news this morning Pat. Sadly no one ever seem to compromise. Obviously it would go down badly. I expect the policeman feels pretty sick and scared.

There are no winners in a tragic affair like this. I should tell your daughter we don't mind how much f-ing and blinding she does as long as she does not mention mothers. Don't quote me though.

It's truly shocking when one is learning bad language from one's kids...

Kids... heheh...

Wait till my kids see my book, HEAT--What will they think about the words and images out of my head?
