Hmmmmm. Can't think of anything at the moment. My parents were both pretty good at sharing their lives and telling us family stories. They were good at talking about anything and everything except sex. I had to learn that for myself.

I enjoyed some of the Beatles. Memoir question, 'Why could we never discuss our religion at home and ask questions that would point out a child's unbelief or disbelief?' Great idea you have here PatB lovin' sis.

One of my favorite Beatles songs there... As for the memoir question, I would ask my parents a lot of questions turn about their separation.

Children's relationships with their parents are extremely complicated! There are good reasons why they're one of the main topics in psychoanalytic theory and also appear in literature and drama...
I think often there are issues children could have discussed with their parents but didn't, for all kinds of reasons...In my case it was the whole divorce thing, traumatic for a thirteen-year-old...
