What a beautiful color is your acer. All our acer leaves have fallen. All we have left are brown, wrinkled querqus that hang on until new sprouts in the spring.

Funny Pat I never anticipate the pain until it happens.
Thank goodness the woman said it was finished. Didn't it use to be a torture, we must not go down that road.
The picture was taken yesterday so you can see we have had it mild, but the snow in New York looks ominous, we sometimes get similar weather later.

Yes I expect your dear Kabu would have had a smart remark Bro. She keeps the programme alive.

Re: Jimmy
Don't tell me you have not sucked your toe Jimmy. I don't know about hair I like it to hang down as a disguise. Yes it is a costly treat £30 a for a few stabs down the side of the toe. Beats being whipped by a gal in leather pants though.

Re:Justi
Well sometimes I like to put everything on one blog Justi and then anyone can just pick and choose and if they wish comment on one subject. As I know some do not like poetry and some do not like gardening, some do not like gossip, some just comment out of politeness.Sadly the newcomers hardly ever comment on anyone's blog, they do not last long which is a pity, because they could learn by reading different ideas.

Re:
Yes I still have an old Teddy somewhere FS. One of my brothers Arthur was born 15 years later than I was and the little wretch nearly disembowelled the poor critter.

Re: Jeansaw
Hi Jean it is funny my brother planted a tree in my garden, he now claims the fruit, but he prunes it with instructions from a book and this season he had three apples. The ones I pruned were loaded. No you won't get the ingrown toe nail , I expect it was from wearing tight shoes during the war.Of course I often put my foot in my mouth.

Re: Mia
Thank you Mia a year soon passes, one has to be careful that trees don't get too large root-wise it can disturb the foundations of a house.

I'm so glad to hear that you've finally found some relief from the ingrown toe-nail, and can focus on that lovely garden. And the tree looks fine to me too, although I'm certainly no expert...

Love the picture of your estate! And congrats on getting your toenail finally fixed - although that probably means the end of a beautiful relationship with the toenail lady! And of course kudos to you for saving that poor bear - I always knew you had a kind and generous soul...

it shows you are a true gardener, the tree does not look over pruned to me, but i am no expert. and what a beautiful color, it may be cold there but it looks as if life could spring forth any moment all around.
so glad you are over the ingrown toenail thing.....i almost hate commenting on it as if i have not had something and it is brought to my attention i immediately get it. i do not want a ingrown toenail. if i look at someone with a cold it seems as if i get that too!
i am so glad someone took teddy from the trash bin and took him home....old beat up things need love too.
dont let anyone tell you they have not sucked their toes, i have not seen a bare foot baby yet that did not discover their toes and we know where a baby sticks everything, in their mouths.

Is a tough life being a teddy bear. Reading that reminds me of the Toy Story movie franchise.

You do not waste any space do you. The tree is beautiful. I liked both the informative and the Teddy Bear post. Be blessed.

Well, sometimes those lower branches have to be trimmed, whether they're blocking the sunlight or not! Hey, when your hair gets long enough to cover your eyes, you'd cut it, right? And I'm glad your 'toe nail' situation has improved, although I probably could have gone without knowing of your ability to suck your own toe! I think a lollipop would be a much better treat . . .

Congrats on getting to the end of the toe problems. I had a toenail removed once because of problems like that, it was not long after I'd delivered my first child. The thing is, it was worse to me than childbirth - at least that labor brings reward, but the toe thing is misery for its own sake. Be well.
