Re: Kabu,
I had forgotten about the window tax! There is also the winter cold to be kept at bay, but this house now has double-glazed windows.

Re: CCT,
She is young and spry, and talking about filling the land with animals! They are very fortunate to be able to afford such a place. Well, she is fortunate she has a husband who is capable of earning that kind of money. I am fortunate that his work sends him hither and thither, so there are lots of frequent flyer miles available!

Re: Mia.
I am sure they meant it!
The first time they were headed overseas, he asked if I was upset he was taking her so far away, I said, Heck no! I will be visiting!
Because of their moves, I have been to Singapore, New Zealand and Australia!

They sure must have sussed out an ideal place and great to have the land which always appreciates . I love land, but one has to be young to keep it up together. Happy for you.

My parents always said they'd accepted the fact that I would, one day, leave "the nest" and that while I would be greatly missed, they hoped I went somewhere far away and exotic so they would have a good excuse to travel more. I'm still not sure if they were joking or not...
Sounds like you'll have a great trip to look forward to

Re: jeansaw,
Always glad to hear from you, both in your blogs and commenting in mine!
It's more a happy beginning, than an ending, really. Or maybe a re-beginning for them!
