When Marika was living in NZ, she couldn't find canned pumpkin
for making her favorite pumpkin pies... which was odd, because New Zealanders use a lot of pumpkin in practically every other way!

I don't do much with pumpkin, though I probably should! I do use pumkin seeds, though - placed in a thin layer on a baking sheet, sprinkled with canola oil and a mixture of sugar, salt and cayenne, then baked until they have caramelized - they make a great snack...

Oh I so associated with this post. I have such memories and of helping with it. But now I have visions of how easily I did all sorts of things and today a little tires me. I was making cookies the other day to freeze for Christmas. A small project became an all day affair. Those are beautiful
