We have stopped eating potatoes , I think my tummy has receded back to a youthful credibility. As long as I do not look in a mirror.

It can be tough to keep pace with everything... That 150 mile round trip would be a lot.

Not seeing them often will make the times you do spend with them even more special, TAPS.

Re: Justi

I wasn't very clear.  It is Grandson Peter, his wife, and my great-grandbaby Marianna who live off in Cameron, MO.  Son #3 and Phil live just a mile away (for which I am thankful).  I do love the big old country house that Peter and his family live in and they are fixing it up so nicely.  But, it is an awful long drive, and they are so busy.

Re: Re: Nautikos

Here's what I've learned so far:  "

Dr. Gerard John Musante (born 1943) is an American psychologist born in New York City. He was the first to combine psychology, behavioral modification and a restricted calorie diet to obtain verifiable and documented long-term weight loss results. He is the author of the book The Structure House Weight Loss Plan: Achieve Your Ideal Weight Through a New Relationship with Food.  In 1977, Musante founded the weight loss institute Structure House Inc. as an on-site residential weight loss center in Durham, NC.  This is where Larry went before he visited friends in NY and DC and ate his way through those cities.  Now he is here.

Re: Nautikos

Whatever it is, it isn't going to work for Larry.  He's telling me about it over piles of decadent food specialties, esp. fancy desserts.

Yum brownies...at least you still cook which is more than what I do very often. I am sure you must miss Peter and his family and young people forget that we still need them.

Those brownies sound good. Oh I had no idea your son and his son lived 75 miles away from you. That is a long way.

TAPS

'Structured Eating' - is that the latest term for eating healthy food (as I do!) but less of it, such as in dieting? Or is it practicing the proper way of using knife and fork?  And they have diplomates teaching that? Good to know they're useful for something, LOL...

I try to eat what's good for me even when I go out, and it seems to

bother people sometimes - especially when I don't eat the whole, over-filled thousand calorie plate full. Too bad, it's me who will pay the piper if I eat stuff my body doesn't like...
