I can relate

I am also a writing addict. It keeps me sane!

Without writing I am lost. Luckily I knew that much from a very early age and found a career where I could write. For a few years I was distracted but now I find life, love, hope and meaning through words.

I write to express what I really think.
My favorite journalism teacher, Professor Willis Tucker, said, "If you can't write it down, you haven't thought it out."  That perhaps is my all-time favorite quotation, because it is so true of me.  Thoughts are fragmented, but when I write them down, I can see them, move them around, expand them, and change them.  When you're finished it makes sense.  So, I guess I write to make sense of my thoughts.

Here's my mix:

Love/hate relationship; easily placed at the bottom of the priority list after work, family, household duties due to self inflicted guilt pursuing a selfish pleasure in a practical world; creative outlet my soul longs for; time consuming when immersed in it; hard work; only one thing surpasses the satisfaction felt when you know you've written something well...  That's it!

about writing
i had my doubts about writing because i could never pay my bills with it but now most of my bills somehow get paid so I might as well write as stare at the ceiling. Plus, it's so cold out it worries me to step outside. In the meantime, I;ll write.
