i liked this post, brought up an interesting question.  what is too personal?  i guess it varies from person to person.  and if i were to post something personal, then to what degree do i want to go.  and then the subject matter counts, if i am talking about sex, well i would have to be very careful as not to turn people away.  i found that people on facebook get too personal for me, if they are describing what they are eating, to who they are mad at, and how they feel about religion to politics.

i do feel we need to talk about all subjects but how we do it is all important.

Blogit is one place where I do write more personal things than I would anywhere else, even on my family Blog. It feels safer somehow. But as TAP commented, we do want to leave some things to the imagination.

Sounds right to me.  Who wants to tell everything and leave nothing to the imagination?

Dear FS,

I completely agree and have done that myself a time or two.

Well of course we do not tell everything FS. Although more than we would in a different medium. Somethings are too painful

I for one very, very rarely bring up or discuss anything too personal simply because it is that . . . personal. The only time I would bring up anything of that context is if I'm trying to make a general point about something else. And even then, I'll be as discrete as possible! I think everyone in here feels somewhat similar . . .
