Re: Re: Re: Taps

Yes well Taps on all machinery electrics always use a circuit breaker especially if water is involved. I expect your son buys his compost ready mixed. Peat compost is becoming short here so I try and mix some of my own soil in with it.

Re: Re: Taps

Actually, I think it is one that runs off of electricity.  Seems like I saw a big electric cord attached to it, though I didn't pay much attention.

Re: I wouldn't have thought of using the cement mixer that way, but it seems

I could get £12-50 off the bill Pat as my water from the roof goes into a soak-away. It is so much aggro that I haven't bothered.

Re:

My aunt had a well there was always a big toad sitting on a stone at the bottom. I suppose it was used to the bucket clanging down, the well could not have been very deep because the old dear used to dangle a bucket on a rope and haul the water up.

Re:

I know Jimmy I think one would be better off writing a complaint, but the water company

is probably foreigned owned. I only spik Inglish.

Re: ChiffChiff

Well you see Bro if everyone over 60 stores them in the fridge the medics know straight away where to look for the person's current drug treatment. Yes I guess you could have sorted it better than I did.

Re: Taps

I doubt if it had been a petrol one that it would have started so easily. I mixes the compost up better than a shovel.

I guess I need to check if we get charged a sewer fee - I always assumed my very steep taxes pay for the high privilege of using the sewer. But then what do I know - my LSW is looking after such trivial matters...

Our sewer bills are kept separate from our water bills where I live in Maryland, and the sewer has a flat fee.

I'll have to tell son about this.  He has a cement mixer that he seldom uses now.  He could be using it for other things.

Re: I wouldn't have thought of using the cement mixer that way, but it seems

I would not have thought of this water runoff from the rain.  It has been higher on our bill here and we've had lots of rain.

I'll bet you could clean it out really thoroughly

and use it for a tossed salad.

ChiffChiff

Why the heck would you store notes in your fridge please Bro? The mixer for the compost made sense. And I'm happy I don't pay for water waste or otherwise.

Hey, a mixer is a mixer, whether it's for cement or anything else. If it saves you some wear and tear, then it's worth it! And I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that letter from the water company. It does sound as though you should not have been charged for that particular service. I would keep calling back until I got someone who actually spoke proper English. Believe it or not, they're still out there . . .

Love the delicate color of your flower today ...We are lucky about water here which for someone whose lived all her life with water a worry onr way or the other is a blessing. being in the country, we have a septic system which a man comes when called and does things ....I don't watch any of that....and then we have a deep well and when we get our water tested, it is alwys pure...so we don't get those dreaded water bills.

I wouldn't have thought of using the cement mixer that way, but it seems

like a brilliant idea now that I think of it.  As for the water company, they will not budge from charging you for the sewer if they're anything like the one here. They have to make up for the rainwater runoff which does get to the sewers and nobody pays for.
