doesn't matter if the bombing is a crock...it is slowing things here and there...and the world is facing a hundred or maybe a thousand years of war...glad i won't be here for it all.

It seems to me that sometimes our military is nothing more than a 'sanitation crew,' cleaning up the various garbage from around the world. And like any other sanitation crew, they come every week and collect the garbage. A week later, they're back to collect more garbage. And on and on and on. But if they were to skip one week, the garbage piles up! And that's what's happening in the Middle East. The garbage is piling up! Can we clear it? I hope so, but we're gonna need help . . .

Well Naut I don't know much about it, but I would like those who are willing to sacrifice other people's lives to lead from the front in a tank if they preferred.

I agree about Panetta. I never have liked his ploys. He does not need the office he holds now. I am not for any boots on the ground in the Middle East particularly to try to teach them to have democracy. That is not our place and they will never accept it. We need our home front and our allies better protected against the insurgence of Islam. Not all Islam is chopping heads off, but all are of the same religion and they are spreading that insanity wherever they go. They need to stay in their own countries, that is our main task seeing they do that.
