Re:
Yes I expect so. Kabu . I was told that there were hundreds of baby rabbits in a known field they come every year but most die off again, I expect in time nature will win on this one,

Perhaps she went for a sex change Pat . I know sometimes cats will run off to die, must be an instinctive thing for some reason.

That is a beautiful color of flowers. But, I hated reading about that poor kitty in the snare. How awful for it.

Aw - my Tom did that too. Just left and never came back. I hope they find the kitty, and I hope the one who finds it will have good use for the reward. I HATE snares! But I like reading CCT and his flowers and where is your poetry?

Anyone who snares and eats an innocent rabbit deserves a fate like Myxomatosis! And you're right . . . that ex should be innocent before proven guilty! Hopefully the cat did simply run off for a spell, and will return shortly . . .

Sometimes the loss of a pet is more of a wrench than the loss of
blood kin. And having a kitty go missing at 13 more or less rules out the chance of it being just a romantic escapade. My aunt had a pussycat run away once, a black female with a small white patch in the center of her chest. She came back a month later, greeted everyone fondly, went right to her own pallet. Few days later Auntie discovered the cat who returned was a Tom. So she changed kitty's name to Ben Hur.

If that cat had disappeared around here there would be a simple answer - coyotes! No cat that's allowed to roam freely here can expect a long life...

there are still far too many rabbits in Australia...I like the flower, beautiful fall color, and I do hope that the cat finds its way home but I think it may be gone.
