Yes, it appears you and Bennie are 'training' each other. But that's good. That means you have a special bond, and there's nothing better when it comes to pets. But I suppose Bennie needs to learn a little patience as well. And I'm glad you've opted for the harness instead of the old-fashioned collar & leash combo. Less stress on both the owner and the dog . . .
