Re: Taps

Please let it rain tonight we have been waiting a month. That is a nasty place to get the cramp. Goodness I think I prefer it in my thighs.

Re: Pat

No I suppose we ought to just smile and look pleased, I'll do that next time. Been going there 40 years.

Since all of the rainy, cold, damp weather, I keep having cramping in the muscle that goes from my left shoulder up into the back of my neck.  It especially bothers me for some reason when I sit at my computer.  It's cramping up right now.  I think I will go zap my cornbag and sit in my recliner with the cornbag on my shoulder and watch the rain.  This is the first time in a long, long, while that we don't need any rain.  The weather people tell us we have had enough.

They don't train service people to recognize humour. I don't know if it

can be taught - you either have a sense of it or you don't. In any case, if your glasses work for you now, that was a win. And she told you without meaning to that super glue could put them out of the repair business.

Re: CCT

Yes well I would need a lot of gin Naut. As I was saying the optician originated from Canada, came as a student and married the previous option. So she has a sense of humor.

Re:

Yes well Jimmy as my brother says, 'you always find your own jokes funnier than mine.'

Perhaps if you got a tube of that special glue as the lady said it can be cracked if needed.

Try not to keep wriggling your nose it may loosen the screws.

Re: Ciel

Yes that's what they tell me. I shall have to go back and complain if it happens again.

Re:

Thank you Justi, I do know the people in there as it is only a small concern that has been there for years.

ReWiley

I don't think you would like the taste of our water. Bro. Perhaps you should tie your glasses on like I do.

ChiffChiff

Drink more water Bro and I seem to have a lot of glasses troubles too, maybe I shouldn't do the Mr. Fix-It with my glasses.

Hi glad you got your glasses repaired.

When I have accidentally broken my glasses, I have gone to the nearest eyeglass place to fix it. Thankfully, it is free.

Sorry to hear you've got a screw loose.

Mine come apart from taking them off by the frame near that screw. It bends it out of shape. I try to remember to take hold of them by the bridge. But usually I forget.

I have trouble from time to time with my glasses as well, and it's the same problem: loose screws. My wife can tighten them with the tiniest of screwdrivers, but they become loose again not too long after. No, I don't think I would have used super-glue either, just in case! And, as we've all come to learn, some people have no sense of humor, while other's sense of humor seems to be somewhat stunted! Sometimes you have to tailor the pitch to the audiance . . .

CCT

Go easy on that tonic water! I always dilute mine with gin...And you need to be careful with sales staff as well - they are easily confused by off-beat humor...
