Re: Re: Re:

I suppose, Kabu, although that particular commercial is what we might call an 'oldie but goodie.' I don't even know if Trix cereal is still around . . .

Re:

Really, TAPS? Hmmm . . . the continuing saga between the Trids and those nasty lumberjacks. You may be on to something. And that rabbi can be the 'counter-hero.' I'll have to give it more thought . . .

I liked your Trid story.  I think you should add a chapter each Monday on that one.

Re:

That almost seems, C C T, like a contradiction in terms. I don't really know of too many victims who would consider themselves 'jolly!' And perhaps some doctors do take that advice of an apple a day to heart, although I can honestly say that I've never seen a doctor eating an apple . . .

Re: JimmyA

Thanks, Sir Wiley. Ironically, my father was an elevator mechanic, and his first name was Bob. Perhaps deep down I saw this as a humorous tribute. I think he would have liked it too . . .

See, FSI? Not only are my Monday morning witticisms humorous, but they're informative too!

Re:

I was actually hoping, chuck, that the 'punchline' for that last one wasn't too obscure, but perhaps it was. Read my response to Kabu for the full explanation. I'm glad at least that you enjoyed the rest . . .

Re:

I had a feeling, Kabu, that there may be a few who don't remember some of those old cereal commercials. There was a cereal called Trix, that was primarily meant for children. But on occasion, there was a large, white rabbit who tried to take it away from them. And each time he was thwarted, the 'catch' line was announced "Silly rabbit . . . Trix are for kids!" Once again, I just juxtaposed some letters and . . .

Re: Jimmy

I'm surprised at you, Naut! I'm glad you 'got' the joke, but you mean to tell me that you've never heard of the Trids Toothpick Manufacturing Company? What else could they do next to a lumberjack camp, with all those splinters lying about . . . ?

Well Jimmy was it 'tricks are for kids' you have got us this time. It would be funny if we all went into the see the doctor munching an apple, but I think one is only supposed to eat one a day to keep him away.Any way I liked the idea of the little Trids they seemed to be a jolly little bunch of victims.

I liked reading the whole thing and had a lot of fun, but like Kabu I didn't understand the last one.

I laughed all the way through and wondered when you wondered but I just could not get that last one....

LOL! Yeah, I got it, but I have a question: What exactly were the Trids' 'daily tasks'? I mean, how'd they make a living?
