Congratulations on your royaltis love, it ain't the amount it's the honor, I am writing to a paid and published author of immense skill. My sister I love you.

You always write that Mother was difficult at times and not easy to feel close to...Losing children can do that to a person. If it wasn't for Wiley I think that I would have crawled on my hands and knees to Son # 2 to get them back to me and then become" her" door mat to walk all over... I cried until now there are no tears left...and Wiley ...he gives me true happiness.

Yes I wonder why we few keep the old firm going Pat. I suppose a child's eye view is different in perspective. One could wonder why a family is built up on such rocky foundations. More strange how the progeny turns out to be quite normal and often above average.

Sorry - it's all coming back - I had forgotten that Henry was Margaret's second husband, and I do recall her reluctance to get involved again! So just forget my first comment...Too much scotch again last night, I guess...

I thought I knew and understood the story of Margaret and Henry reasonably well, but it turns out I missed something terribly important - he got custody of a couple of your siblings? That's a wrinkle that doesn't fit into my picture of things at all!

And congrats on the royalty cheque! Don't go splurge now...
