Hm,that was really scary Naut, it certainly does not encourage one to fly unless really necessary, but if you remember years ago there were planes crashing quite often and it seems rare today. Arthur said once when he was flying to U.S.A there was a lot of turbulence and lightning. What scared him was the man opposite took his shoes off, he never found out why.

Just the flying experience today is scary. It is offensive compared to long ago when they were glad to have your business. That experience would have been scary.

That sounds like the type of incident that can age a person rather quickly! Neither my wife nor I likes to fly, and I haven't been on a plane since 2005! That was scary because it was in the winter, and before we could leave we had to watch as the wings were being de-iced! Not a very comforting sight, but probably less stressful than seeing tree tops as you're supposedly approaching to land . . .

scary....I do hate flying and airports and there isn't even any cheap duty free these days. I've had experiences too but perhaps not that close called, more funny than life threatening.
