It's a bit dicey stepping out of your comfort zone, but you'll do just fine, Pat. And who knows? Maybe there is someone there who really needs your help....everything happens for a reason.

Well who doesn't have little qualms about doing something different, childhood does inflict emotional warts on all of us. Good luck whatever you decide, it won't diminish your character,

Oh eeks...you are brave....I used to be a great hostess many moons ago...no choice but i would rather be hostess because I am no good at working a party. I hav no small talk, most trivia bores me and the one time I ran something...a woman's retreat... my equality, feminist views offended the women....You go for us both darling and run it your way. if they don't appreciate a real writer who knows her stuff....well tough!!

By all means - go and do it! It's about writing - you know about writing! It's about ideas - you have a head full of ideas! I wouldn't even plan too much - let things unfold as they surely will, and you guide them along...And of course we want to hear all about it...
