The little Oriental lady was right, of course, LOL. But that reminds me of a hypothesis of mine, based  personal experience, that little Oriental ladies (or even Oriental gentlemen) have a sense of humor rather different from ours...

yes that's true but what is also true is that doctor lacks compassion and proper communication with his patients....they are his customers so he should treat them with the respect and compassion they deserve especially since this is their health

You scolded yourself properly by remembering how lucky we are to have the service.

Sadly I have gone through a few doctors Taps they all become increasingly miserable as the patients take their toll. So we have to put up with their little tantrums because they are only humans doing what they have been trained for not councilors who are being paid to make one feel happy. Do it for yourself that's the secret.

well those three have told you so as one Nurse to another I will just smile gently, shake my head and disappear before you remind me that I too am a reluctant at the Dr's office.

Taps, if you had not been a nurse, an intelligent and well read woman I might say; "poor little old lady". You know better. You want to feel better as do I, it is not one whit of fun at the doctor's office, in the hospital or at home when things you don't remember having, hurt. But you listen to me. Do what they say, because you know you will be better for it. I love you dear lady, getting old is not as fun as it was when i was young and the fate belonged to others, but it is part of the Lords will for us. I am praying for you not to be stubborn.

I know that you realize you're just being obstinate, and that yourself

is well aware of why you're stalling and playing coy. What if nothing you want actually does happen and you just have to keep dealing with little miseries that Dr. K just might be able to ameliorate? Why not feel a bit better as you go along life's way?
